Rev. Dr. Lee E. Brand, Jr.

Lee E. Brand, Jr. was born to Lee and Sandra Brand, Sr. on July 1, 1979. He grew up in Nettleton, MS and graduated from Nettleton High School in 1997. Lee accepted his call to preach in the same year at the Good Hope M.B. Church of Shannon, MS. Since that time, he has allowed God to develop him into a preacher and leader pleasing in the Lord’s sight.

He attended Mississippi State University and earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Sciences while minoring in Human Development and Family Studies. Upon completing his Bachelor’s work, Lee was called to pastor the Beth-el Missionary Baptist Church of Starkville, MS on January 1, 2002. Pastor Brand currently serves as pastor of Beth-el, and God continues to bless him and the membership. During Pastor Brand’s time of service, many souls have been saved, and God has manifested His power in magnificent ways. The church has worked through various partnerships with outreach ministries on the campus of Mississippi State University. He and Bethel have developed missionary partnerships in the Philippines and Uganda. Most recently, Beth-el completed her building project, consisting of a new sanctuary and administrative space. God is truly blessing the church.

Pastor Brand also serves in various capacities in convention, association, and community work. He is a nationally certified instructor in multiple courses and serves as the certified Dean of the Northeast Mississippi Baptist Congress and the Whitefield District Association. In April 2010, Pastor Brand was appointed to the Starkville School District Board of Trustees, yet another place for him to serve. He worked as one of several Watchdog Dads at Sudduth Elementary. Pastor Brand was selected as a chaplain for the Starkville Police Department.

Pastor Brand’s commitment to personal preparation is evidenced in his efforts to continue his education. He earned his Master of Divinity from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary in December 2008 and entered the Doctor of Philosophy Program in 2009. During his doctoral work, he concentrated his studies in Practical Theology while pursuing a dual minor in Theology and New Testament. Pastor Brand graduated from the doctoral program in December 2013. He has served an adjunct professor at East Mississippi Community College and is currently an assistant instructor at the Starkville Extension of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. His passion is not only to use the information gained from these educational endeavors in the classroom, but he also desires to bring a greater appreciation for the sufficiency and authority of God’s Word to the pulpit.

After his relationship with the Lord, Pastor Brand glories in his relationship with his beautiful wife, Tiffany. They met at Mississippi State University when Tiffany was campaigning for the Homecoming Court and were married July 19, 2003. They have five wonderful children, Tre’, Megan, Avery, Micah, and Matthew. Lee enjoys fatherhood and is grateful to be married to Tiffany, his biggest fan and best friend. His prayer for the ministry is that the Lord be exalted and God’s people to be enlightened.
